On our way- day one

In the famous words of Dr Seuss...

Today is our day. We're off to great places! We're off and away.
We have brains in our heads
We have feet in our shoes
We can steer ourselves any direction we choose.

We're on our own, and we know what we know. And we are the ones who'll choose where we go.

We'll look up and down streets. Look 'em over with care. About some we will say 'we don't wish to go there'.

With our heads full of brains and our shoes full of feet, we're to smart to go down any 'ole street.

We may not find any we'll want to go down. In that case, of course, we'll head straight out of town.
It's opener there in the wide open air.
Out there things can happen and often do to people as brainy and footy as we two!!

And when things start to happen, we won't worry, we won't stew.
We'll just go right along and we'll start happening too!!!

OH. THE PLACES WE'LL SEE.



Although we packed up and left Sydney 2 weeks ago, and have been, packing, organizing, and minimal holidays have occurred to this point, we have had time to be fully stressed about what was to come, but we are now officially on our way. We left Melbourne airport half an hour late and have arrived in Kaula Lumper, after the first minor hiccup of the trip resolved with some bolt cutters!

We now have some time to sit and reflect on what has been and what is to come, I'll admit it, I'm a little lot scared, but excited too. I can't wait to discover some of the delights that this world is sure to offer us.

We're off to Phuket in just 4 hours time, a fleeting visit to Malaysia (good way to fill the passport pages really), with 6 weeks to kill in Thailand I know there will be some good stories to follow.

Getting started

While this is not the first day of travel it is the first blog day so best start with a hello to all and thanks for taking the time to find us! As we are blog virgins please be kind, i am sure we will get better along the way.... it is a big wide world after all!!! The day of departure is fast approaching and i am in true bec style procrastinating about things ( lucky there is one organised person between us!!). So much to do and so little time really, oh well it will all come together in due course. We hope you find our blog as much fun to read as we are going to have writing it, please add comments and catch up along the way.
